PETA Would Rather Kill Pets Than Let Pets Be Adopted
In 2009, PETA euthanized 2,301 dogs and cats -- 97 percent of those brought in -- and adopted only eight, according to Virginia state figures. A total of 681 dogs, 1620 cats and 51 other companion animals. Why? According to Daphna Nachminovitch, vice president of cruelty investigations at PETA, money can’t buy a good home.
The fact is that PETA would rather euthanize pets rather than let them be adopted. Their standing is no animal should be kept as a pet.In 1998 PETA was at 14.10% adoption, by 2009 they are at 0.34% adoption.
PETA's public spokesperson admitted last year, on the record, they receive enough donations to keep the majority of their rescued animals alive, but choose not to. Instead spending their funds on stuff like high-end fashion tickets so their members can yell and splash red paint on the models or on winning dates with celebrities so that they can put them on the spot about wearing fur.

The Time is...or Que is la Hora, por favor?
An American biologist visiting southern Mexico (against the present U.S. State Dept. advisories), and wants to practice her Spanish.
"Sir", she asks in English this time, "I am a Biology Professor, and I have a very keen interest in traditional medicine and folklore. You must tell me, how were you able to determine the time of day from that animal? Was it skin tension, perhaps? Temperature? Does the animal respond differently at different times of day to the examination?"
"That is easy Señora!" he says standing up, "Come here and try it yourself."
"Que is la Hora, por favor?", she asks an old man sitting next to a cow at a farm stand.
Hearing her question, the man reaches between the legs of the cow and lifts the beast's udder for a moment, and then in perfect English replies "It's 4:30 Señora."
Shocked, the tourist hurries away, but soon her curiosity piqued, she makes her way back to the farm stand.
"That is easy Señora!" he says standing up, "Come here and try it yourself."Being a biologist by trade, she overcomes her natural hesitation and takes the old man's seat, and gently lifts the udder, to which the old man reacts by chuckling loudly.
"So" , he says, "NOW, can you see the clock hanging inside the shed on the other side of the cow?"
Man Kills Burglar With Ornamental Sword
Actually this is something that happened about a year or two ago. go back to a post I had about the same thing happening but in Baltimore. Go HERE to read that news item. So here is the one that happend March 12th in Erie, PA:
The 29-year-old man arrived home from work at his flat in Erie, Pennsylvania and immediately noticed something wrong. His dog was acting strangely, and he heard a noise coming from the apartment. So he grabbed an ornamental sword from the wall...

So he grabbed an ornamental sword from the wall...The unnamed man found an armed Delvon J. Crockett, 24, apparently trying to burglarize his house. So he stabbed him once in the chest with the sword, fled to another room, and called 911.
By the time police arrived, Crockett was dead on the floor near a door. They also recovered what appears to be Crockett's .380 automatic.
The homeowner wasn't injured, but he may have saved his own life. Crockett had a history of gun, drug and assault charges.

"She said she was meeting her boyfriend in Key West and wanted to be ready for the visit," Trooper Gary Dunick said. "If I wasn't there, I wouldn't have believed it. About 10 years ago I stopped a guy in the exact same spot ... who had three or four syringes sticking out of his arm. It was just surreal and I thought, 'Nothing will ever beat this.' Well, this takes it."

Homeless Man Runs Away From $6million
A homeless man who lived on the streets of the capital of Bolivia, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, saw the cops on their way to him, hastened to flee without a trace dissolved in alleys. He thought that they had come to put him in jail for alcohol and drug abuse, but in fact, policemen wanted to please him the news that Mr. Martinez received a legacy of the size of a $ 6 million from his former wife Ines Olivares Guarda, which in turn received money from their ancestors. The local newspaper printed an article about a man who ran away from his inheritance. K (un) fortunately, he did not come for the money owed to him. Who knows, maybe for him it was for the better.
