Daddy's car is in the woods

Little Johnny watched his daddy's car pass by the school playground and go into the woods. Curious, he followed the car and saw Daddy and Aunt Jane in a passionate embrace.

Little Johnny found this so exciting that he could hardly contain himself as he ran home and started to tell his mother. "Mommy, I was at the playground and I saw Daddy's car go into the woods with Aunt Jane. I went back to look and he was giving Aunt Jane a big kiss, and then he helped her take off her shirt. Then Aunt Jane helped Daddy take his pants off, then Aunt Jane..."

At this point Mommy cut him off and said, "Johnny, this is such an interesting story, suppose you save! the rest of it for supper time. I want to see the look on Daddy's face when you tell it tonight."

At the dinner table that evening, Mommy asked little Johnny to tell his story. Johnny started his story, "I was at the playground and I saw Daddy's car go into the woods with Aunt Jane. I went back to look and he was giving Aunt Jane a big kiss, then he helped her take off her shirt. Then Aunt Jane helped Daddy take his pants off, then Aunt Jane and Daddy started doing the same thing that Mommy and Uncle Bill used to do when Daddy was in the Army."

Mommy fainted :)

Wedding ring accident

I've seen a couple of accidents like this in my lifetime. Fortunately nothing like this ever happened to me...probably because I saw one like this early on. What makes it stick with me was the ring stripped all of the meat completely off the finger when a man jumped off the side of a truck and his wedding band got caught on the wooden side rail. He remained crouched beside the truck holding his hand. I walked over and saw his ring finger stripped of the skin with the flesh dangling from the tip of the finger. I looked up at the wood rail on the truck and noticed its splintered edge with the gold band hung up there shining in the sunlight.

This photo set looks like one of the more common type ring finger accidents where the ring hand gets caught between some falling heavy objects and the person jerks his hand back too late because the ring has smashed and is caught.

That is what happened with a coworker. He reached in a pile of metal rods to pull one out from the middle of a rack of rods. He bumped the rack and the stack came down on his hand with not as bad a result as is pictured here but bad enough to cause major damage to his finger. He lost feeling in that finger due to severed nerves.

The romantic running of the bulls

It can kind of get under your skin
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy.’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.~ John Lennon
